5 more minutes...

So one of my current crushes (Elliot Cowan) is going to be in season 2 of a show called the Fixer. I've been told the first season hasnt aired outside the UK...dunno if thats true, but i decided to download it to see what its about and it was pretty good.

The main character John Mercer, who used to be in special forces or some such, is in jail for killing his aunt and uncle. You find out a bit later that his uncle had sexually abused his sister and his aunt hadnt stepped in so he wasa tad pissed. ANYWAYS.

He gets released from jail early by Lenny Douglas so he can put him to work as an assassin within a lil nefarious group that is funded by the government to take out dodgy people.
The other members of the group are Calum - who is handy at sourcing the weapons John needs, breaking into places and lots of other lil jobs - and who John met in prison and doesnt exactly like, and Rose - an ex-cop who uses her pretty face/hot bod to get close to male targets.

I TOTALLY LOVE CALUM! He is such a dork. Lenny makes John and him live together and of course John is all broody-loner boy but Calum helps out there and he's smiling a bit more by the last ep.

In the first ep Rose is used by Lenny because they can tell John isnt happy about the situation and is gonna do a runner, so she meets him at a bar and they go off and do the nasty. He is right pissed when he finds out she works for Lenny too. But even though she has to act the whore for Lennys jobs you can tell she actually LIKES our John, and he has a total boner for her too! I LOVE IT!!!!!
But Calum is the best part for teh show for me! I forget which ep it is but Calum totally teases John about the situation with him and Rose. Its so funny!

That might change when Elliot arrives in season 2. (It starts on Sept 2 I think in the UK) :D Supposedly his character is gonna be a right prat. If i hate him more than Lenny then he will have done a good job.

Anyways so I am looking forward to more! And Elliot!

Oh and it was so funny when I started watching teh first ep...I was 3 mins in before my brain clicked that the guy who plays John was the guy who played St John Rivers in Jane Eyre.
I gotta say he looks better in modern garb. :D
Though i do keep waiting for him to go 'I love Rosamund Oliver wildly!'

I gotta stop watching these series repeatedly. They get in my brain....like when I watched the Tenant of Wildfell Hall with Tara Fitgerald and Toby Stephens....i kept waiting for her to go 'Say something UNNATURAL CHILD!' or start screeching 'WHERES JOHN????'.
Yes - too much Jane Eyre indeed!
